Advanced Technology
- Modernized technology in every department, including hardware, software, and training personnel
- Implemented a new geographic information system (GIS) with a digital map and detailed property information
- Researched, mapped, and photographed all structures, identifying and drawing 126,000 parcels
- Converted to modern GIS-driven, fully integrated assessment software

Enhanced Transparency
- Implemented new GIS technology on website for the public, giving citizens enhanced ability to conduct assessment searches, compare assessed values and locate property owners
- Provide aerial imagery to identify missing property and structures
- Initiated an "open roll" period of 30 days for the public inspection of the tax roll instead of the 14 days required by law
- Continue to educate citizens through public outreach and distribution of educational publications and videos
- Created first-ever Quadrennial Report to inform citizens where tax dollars are derived and distributed
Built Trust
- Removed a multitude of ineligible homestead exemptions and special assessments
- Added thousands of existing and new parcels, homes, and buildings to the tax roll
- Made the tax roll more accurate, encouraging taxing bodies to lower their millages by approximately 10 mills
- Permanently decreased Assessor's Office millage by .24 mills, with savings so far over one million in tax dollars
- Hosted the Louisiana Legislative Auditor for annual educational workshop to help educate our taxing bodies
- Continue to provide in-person and online assessment reviews
- Drastically reduced the number of Assessment Reviews to the Board of Review (St. Tammany Parish Council) and
LA Tax Commission annually
- Executed an efficient reassessment in 2020 while simultaneously managing the challenges of the pandemic
- Proactively identified damaged properties from Hurricane Ida, eliminating the need for citizens to file for a review
- Decreased vehicle fleet by 60 percent
- Reduced staff by 10 percent
